GreenEnergy Biomass, J.S.C. (“GEB”) is a Vietnamese-registered company engaged in the production of biomass derived from the plant Jatropha Curcas - an ethical and sustainable second generation biofuel feedstock. Cultivated on marginally-productive lands, Jatropha production avoids upward pressure on food prices and negative impact on high-conservation ecologies. GEB aims to become the leading provider of second generation biofuel feedstock in Vietnam.
GEB has its corporate offices in Ho Chi Minh City and three regional offices in Binh Thuan, Phan Rang and Hue with 60 full-time employees nationwide. Upper management (including executive Board members) includes an international mix of Vietnamese and Americans. GEB staff is 95% Vietnamese, with more than half holding college degrees or minimum of 5 years experience in agronomy or extension training.
